Step 1: What to Backup


Navigate: Help / Backup Premium Reference / Backing up Data / Step 1: What to Backup

Specify files and folders from any location readily accessible from My Computer.

  Add… - add Folders, Files, your Windows Profile, your ICQ or Outlook settings and registry keys to backup set:

  Include/Exclude options - Toggle checkmark to exclude/include file or folder.

  Grayed checkmark – partially included folder (has both included and excluded files/subfolders).

  Remove – remove any file or folder from backup Set.

         Note: you can remove only root files and folders.

  Filter Settings… – exclude/include files globally throughout backup set by file masks:

  Include/Exclude all files except those matching specified masks – specify default rule behavior for your backup set.

 File Masks – specify a set of file masks (wildcards) that will alternate default rule behavior. You can specify several file masks separating them with ‘;’.

         Ex: *.doc;*.xls;job*.*
